"Man Talk"

This is from an article I read online... Dating coach, blogger and author David Wygant, tells you what "man talk" really mean...

Women want men to express their feelings. They complain, "Why can't he just say he loves me?" or, "I wish he would just compliment me more." What you need to pay attention to and realize, though, is that men do tell you they love you and compliment you... they just do it using their own language. Men, in fact, sometimes don't use words at all when they are communicating with you. This will help you understand men's verbal and non-verbal language.

"Sometimes it's not what men say, but it's their actions that are significant. It is necessary for women to learn to interpret men's roundabout way of communicating with them."

Here are 10 things that men say and do, and what they really mean:

1. He starts talking about how crazy all his single friends lives are, and then he tells you that he doesn't miss it at all. What most women will think if they hear this, is that he misses those days. This is not true. He says this because he is looking for confirmation that you feel exactly the same way. He also wants to communicate that he's ready to take the relationship to the next level.

2. Since you recently took him to your family's house for dinner, he can't stop talking about how much fun he had with your brother. What he means here is that he really likes your family, and wouldn't mind being a part of your family.

3. He teases you about things like how clumsy you are or about how you put smiley faces in every one of your emails. What he's really telling you when he does this is that he really likes you a lot. Remember that men are just giant boys... the men tease the ones they love and ignore the ones they don't.

4. A man tells you he needs his space. So what does this mean to you? It means that you need to ignore him and not call him. Men love the chase. By not calling him, he'll start calling you and wondering what happened.

5. A man says that he really wants you to meet his parents. What does this mean in man talk? He's telling you that you are his girlfriend, and that he is ready to take it to the next level by getting you involved with his family. This brings us right to the next bit of man talk.

6. When a man calls you and says, "I want you to meet my friends on Friday night," this is as big as meeting his parents. He's introducing you to his pack. It means that he thinks you are attractive and sexy, and he wants to show you off to his friends.

7. After sleeping over at his house several times, he tells you that the next time you sleep over you should bring some things to make you feel more comfortable and a change of clothing. In man talk, that is basically telling you that he's wondering what it would be like to live with you. He also wants your things around.

8. You have plans with him on a Sunday, and you find out that he passed up floor seats to his favorite basketball team to keep those plans with you. What does that tell you in man talk? It tells you that he's hooked... and that you are his girlfriend.

9. He is watching one of your favorite shows on a night you're not together, and he calls you afterwards to talk about it. In man talk, what does this mean? By doing this, he's telling you that he pays attention to you, and he's interested in learning more about you and sharing more things with you. Men generally do not choose to watch "Project Runway" on their own. If they're watching your TV shows, they really like you.

10. He tells you, "I've cleaned today." What this means in man talk is, "I spent the day doing something I dislike more than anything." You need to realize that when a man says this to you, he really likes you. To most men, cleaning the house is just about the worst way he can spend a day.

"Once you understand the hidden language and actions of man talk, you'll become far more secure in your dating and relationships."

So the next time you go over to your man's house and he looks at you and says, "I cleaned today," you'll know that he really meant to say, "I must really like you, because I can ignore my mess most of the time."

T.O.C.

Went yamcha at a new plaz yesterday... Suppose to gotto Atmosfera (opposite tHe sPring), but it was closed. So we went to The Original Car Wash (T.O.C.). Well, maybe not new for most of u... but it's still very new to me coz I just knew that plaz is actually a restaurant too rather den just an expensive car wash. :P

So.. who owns this luxurious car wash plaz... It's Ting Pek Kin's Son.

T.O.C

The plaz is bigger than I tot... So so so spacious and I really love the interior... If I was my house... I would just stay at home 24/7... and invite my friends to come over... LOL! Ok... I know im dreaming... :P

U might find this plaz very familiar because of the concept... It was Co-owned by the Junk's tauke, George. And obviously, he must have decor this plaz all by himself... with all those "junkie" antiques.

Those items on the rack are super "junkie" antiques... And I saw something which is I have too at home... For example, the old radio, luggage... and the traditional Chinese basket ppl owas use for Wedding. Perhaps, George would wanna buy from me? LOL! Just kidding... would never ever sell those off... Those were passed down by my grandparents.

Dental Check-up???

Or a haircut??

Looking outside... The car wash...

The smoking zone

While sending ur car for a shower, u can also enjoy ur meal and drinks here... But bear in mind... it's the most expensive car wash in Kuching. Of coz... U pay for what u get rite? The environment, the services, etc??

One time car wash would cost RM10 (outside only); wash plus vacuum, RM15 (with one complimentary drink), Wash, vaccum and waxing, RM50.

Breakfast serves
Don worry if you come too early. They serve breakfast too... :P

Ladies' room

Even the toilet is so nice... But ladies, be careful when u pee... coz it's semi-open concept. Hehehe...

They should have put some fishes in the water too so it wont grow mosses... (Just a kepo idea here) :P

Jack with my Huge glasses...

Trying to be the character in Jack-Ass. Well... the glasses really does suit everyone. Hahaha...

Well, you have to purposely send to car for carwash just to visit this plaz. It's open for public. Even if u din plan to wash ur car here... u're free to come for drinks and have ur meal here.

They even have a small "store" selling the famous "Ming Kiong" Mangoes.

Our drinks

We had... Super pure "Ming Kiong" Mango Crush... Berries Thick Crush, Mix Fruit Juice and Lemon Crush. Jack actually wanted to try "Cempedek Crush". But too bad... it was not available. Maybe it's not the season yet? :P

Thai Sticky Rice

Jack ordered this... I din try... but it looks good... Menu at T.O.C. are similar to The Junk. Price range.. affordable. I wonder if they open til late everyday. It would be a nice hang out plaz. I bet this plaz will look gorgeous at nite too.

After 3 - Con't

As promised, here a continuation update on After 3. This time... we sat inside the cafe... :)

Mum went to Bintulu last Saturday to attend a wedding reception. So... I brought my dad out for dinner after work. Wanted to bring him to Pinoy actually... but it was only 5pm. Most places weren't open for dinner yet. Why so early??? Coz my dad usually eat at this time... and if we go out late, he might be lazy ady and wanted to eat at home. Since there's only two of us.. it will be a lil too troublesome to cook. So, the only place... with nice environment... and serve dinner.... After 3.

Inside the Cafe...

Looks like some HK Cha Chang Teng ey?? We're seated at the Cushion Cubicle. Forgot to took some pic of it. Quite empty coz it was still early... Hehehe...

Dad thinking what to order...

Lemon Chicken with Rice

My meal... was a lil too sour... din quite like it... Should have ordered Fried Ginger Venison instead. :S

Fried Venison with Bittergourd

My dad's favourite dish... Well... I din know how to eat bittergourd... but I tried the gravy and the venison... it was GOOD! The venison was so so so tender...

Hot 'n' Spicy Ma Po Toufu

Yummilicious Ma po Toufu... But we cant finished it coz the portion was a lil too big for Two. Dad din like it... coz it was a bit sour. Hehehe... he doesn't like sour food.

I think my dad loves this plaz coz he sed he wanna bring my mum here when she's back... Hehehe... Guess he misses her even she was just away for three days ey... :P

The Shopaholic is Goin to Rehab!

Since I've spent so much for the past few weeks... It's time for me to gotto REHAB for at least three months (til I gotto Phuket... kekekekek). Been shopping like hell lately... I can actually shop anywhere... even from home... :S

So... it's time to say NO to shopping!

It must have been a sign for me... While flipping tru Female Magazine... there are actually tips for Shopping Rehab. Here I would like to share it with you... or whoever needs it... :P
  • Track everything - there is no such thing as an insignificant expense. Everything adds up. Write down everything you spend on, even if it's a RM1.50 teh ice every morning from the mamak (that's already RM30 a month).
  • Play mind games - For an addict, money is more about the mind than it is about a math. When the mind is out of control, you have to trick it back to good mental health. Simple thing like taxing yourself for every expenditure, or forcing yourself to set aside a pre-determined percentage of your income as savings - are tested tricks that really work.
  • Avoid temptation - The same way an alcoholic has to stay away from bars, you have to stay away from the malls and shops. P/S: MNG is on Seasonal Clearance Sales now... So STAY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Speak up - No one gets through hardship on their own. If you're serious about stopping, the first step is to those closest to you that you have a problem and that you need help.
I hope... this really works for me... and I think it will coz I'll be doin OT most of the time from now til August... I got no time to gotto the mall except for Sunday. And every Sunday... I'll be with my baby dearest... He will definitely stop me from SPENDING! Hehehehehe...

Mah Nu Toy!

Finally... after so long... I've decided to give up Ipod Classic... Been wanting it since erm... last year I guess... But I had gotten my Black Sony Walkman MP3 Player (NWD-B100) early this year while I was in KL...

Sony Walkman MP3 Player - NWD-B100

Why from Ipod to MP3??? Coz... cant afford to get Ipod that time mah... Overspent in Bangkok ady. During that time, Ipod Classic was around RM1k for 80GB if im not mistaken. Way over my budget. :P

Since I ady got MP3 player... there's no point for me to get another one... So I decided to go for Sony PSP. It's cheaper compare to IPod classic... and it has most of the function that Ipod has... use as MP3 player, watch video on WIDER screen, store photos, connect to the internet... and most important... PLAY GAMES!!!

I told Dearie about it and he scolded me. He sed I should save my money instead on spending on such expensive toy... Because of that, he din wanna tok to me for few hours.

-.-"""

But still.... I can't resist it... Really love it.
Too much temptation in office too... Most people around me got PSP. So, I finally bought it last Saturday. I feel bad for not telling Dearie... it seems like I've cheated on him. So... I slowly find a way and confessed to him after TWO days.

With a lil special skills on confession and promise that I made (which I sed I wont simply spend my money again...),
he forgive me. I'm good ey??? Hahahahaha... Now... I'm relieved... I don have to play with guilt now.... I can even let him play... who knows... he might get addicted too??? hehehee....

Sony PSP Piano Black
* P/s: Picture taken online... Coz my camera is currently out of battery. Bluek! *

Anyway, I got myself a Black Sony PSP Phat instead of a Slim one! My personal preference and comment from friends... It's better to hold while playing games. And... the battery can last longer. Another reason why I got PSP Phat is because I wanted the Original Sony PSP Earphone with Remote (which cost RM100+ if buy separately) that comes together with the package. Teeheee.... Yes... PSP Slim do come with earphone too, but it's not originally for SONY PSP.

Now, I don have to worry that I got nothing to do on plane whenever I go travelling... I got my mp3, I got my psp... It's traveling essential for me!!!! Coz... I can never ever sleep on the plane. And nobody would entertain me coz most of them will be sleeping... huhuhuhu....

After Three

Went breakie with dearie yesterday. Finally... after so long we've been wanting to go to After Three... So... Here we are...

The place was nice... very cozy and cooling for a hot Sunday morning... Don you think the third picture look as if it was taken oversea? Reminds me of some cafe in Auckland. Hahaha...

Haven't been inside the cafe yet. Will update on my next visit. From what I see outside... it is decorated with oriental style. With the old classic chairs and tables. Looks and feel (Feel? Coz I haven stepped into it yet. hahahaha...) a bit like Old Town Kopitian at Boulevard.

Our drinks... Ice Horlick and Nescafe... super "Kau" (thick)!!! Nice!

Dim sum anyone??? ordered Chicken Feet and Siew Mai. The Siew Mai was ok. But the chicken feet tasted a bit weird. Was it the marinate or it's overnite chicken feet... :P

Chicken Chop Noodle. Never order that in the morning unless u're craving for HEAVY breakfast. Need not to explain more... as u can see from the pic... the chicken... big pieces and alot!!!!!!!! More than the noodle. I kept giving it to Dearier coz I cant finished it. hehehehe...

Well... the fried chicken was OK. For the noodle... it looked as if it was cooked with Sze Chuan Style but i don taste anything like Sze Chuan. It was tasteless...

Dearie had this... Noodle with Shredded Chicken. Look very diff from the "kay see Mee" we normally have. This looks more like kolomee with shredded chicken. It was yummy.... just a lil too salty. I should have order that too... piff...

This is our "bill"... Everything was in Black and White. You don't have to worry ur bill was charged wrongly for incorrect order.

Quite like that plaz. I think it's gonna be our new hang out plaz at nite since we're running out of plaz to lepak ady. :P

Labels or Love?

Im so so so addicted to this theme song from Sex & the City: The Movie.

Labels or Love?
By Fergie

Shopping for labels, shopping for love
Manolo and Louis, it’s all I’m thinking of
Shopping for labels, shopping for love
Manolo and Louis, it’s all I’m thinking of

I already know what my addiction is
I be looking for labels, I ain’t looking for love
I shop for purses while I walk out the door
Don’t cry, buy a bag and then get over it
And, I’m not concerned with all the politics
It’s a lot of men I know I could find another one.

What I know is that I’m always happy when I walk out the store, store
I’m guessing Supercalifragi-sexy, nothing to be playing with
I love him, hate him, kiss him, diss him, tryna to walk a mile in my kicks

(Chorus)
Love’s like a runway but which one do I love more
No emotional baggage, just big bags filled with Dior
Love’s like a runway, so what’s all the fussing for
Let’s stop chasing them boys and shop some more

I know I might come off as negative
I be looking for labels, I ain’t looking for love
Relationships are often so hard to tame
A Prada dress has never broken my heart before
And, ballin’s something that I’m fed up with
I’mma do the damn thing, watch me do the damn thing
Cause I know that my credit card will help me put out the flames
I’m guessing Supercalifragi-sexy, nothing to be playing with
I love him, hate him, kiss him, diss him, tryna to walk a mile in my kicks

[Chorus]

Gucci, Fendi, Prada purses, purchasing them finer things
Men they come a dime a dozen, just give me them diamond rings
I’m into a lot of bling, Cadallic, Chanel and Coach
Fellas boast but they can’t really handle my female approach
Buying things is hard to say
Rocking Christian Audigier, Manolo, Polo, taking photos in my Cartier
So we can’t go all the way, I know you might hate it but
I’m a shop for labels while them ladies lay and wait for love

[Chorus]

Lunch @ Garden Hill

Me and the gangs finally decided to go "lunch-ing" at Garden Hiil after strong recommendation by Syl. Slenz n Herman went too few weeks back and sed it was worth trying too...

Garden Hill, formerly known as Tapanga Tree... located at Taman Kereta, Permata Kuching. Concept is still like before... it's a Bistro... They serves meals from Lunch to Dinner. If you just wanna chill... there's wide range of beverage from coffee/tea to ice blended to alcoholic drinks.

The Interior...

Not much different from the former Tapanga Tree... just reorganization of the furnitures... But it definitely look cleaner and more comfy compared to before. Love their curtain.

Currently, they're having set lunch promo for RM7.90 per set includes white rice and beverage (ice lemon tea or honeydew juice). If u wanna go western... it also comes with coleslaw and fries. Tat will be RM10.90 per set. Drink is also included.

Sweet & Sour Fish with Rice

Sze Hong and Sook Joo ordered Sweet and Sour Fish... I tried a lil... it was good... the fish was really really fresh... If I'm not mistaken... I think it's Dory Fish Fillet. :P

Deep Fried Lamb with Rice

Eve & I had Deep Fried Lamb with Rice. I owas love lamb... It wasn't too bad... but the gravy was a lil too salty... and the meat wasn't tender enuf... hehe...

The portion was just right for us... But I don think it will be enough for guys... the rice was quite lil... maybe u guys will need side orders too... Bluek.

The Lunch Promo Menu
(P/s: Sorry for all the blurry pictures.. Not using proper camera :P)

Overall.. lunch was OK. Services was average ok and the food were up quite fast.. suitable for those like us who has short lunch hour.

Darling's 25th Bday @ Damai Beach Resort

This weekend... Darling and I spent quality time 2gether at Damai Beach Holiday Resort. Finally a beach getaway for me... Met Syl and friends too... and also my uncle with this family.

Damai Beach owas mostly packed with families. Darling and I seems like to be the odd one there... hahaha...

Dearie's driving...

Pizza... our lunch!

We bought Pizza from Pizza Hut at Semariang for our lunch... Too bad they werent allow to deliver to Damai... else we'll be enjoyinh HOT HOT HOT pizza in our hotel room. Hehehehe...

The weather was nice... cloudy n windy.
Lotsa ppl brought along their kites and so did we... :P We saw one really unique kite... it's a "Ship"! Very cool ey...

Sum1's ready to flu his kite!

Macho flying Minnie? :P

Actually... tat kite is mine... dearie bought it for me... Hahahaha... I din know why he bought me Minnie... I never fancy Minnie... But... it was really cute though... seeing it with two leg flying up in the sky... hahaha

Our kites

Ship flying up in the sky!

Enough of kite flying... dearie and i went swimming at the sea... had a really great time with him...

Had a very unworthy dinner at Palm Beach Garden... the food was so so so expensive... We only ordered 4 normal dishes... Bidin Belacan, Fried Japanese Tofu, Butter Chicken and Fried Fish (which they actually gave us a wrong fish from wat we ordered). Only food itself ady cost RM80!!! I wonder how much they charged us for the fish... hmm....

Plus the servers were all Bumi. They din even understand what we wanted to order. They don understand English o even a very simple Hockkien (for the dish). We had to point out wat we want from the menu. They shud at least hire one o two Chinese to take order... at least they know how to explain and recommend customers on what's nice on the menu... Afterall... this is a tourist spot, rite?

Other than that, service was so so slow. First.. they brought us the dishes... without cutlery. Then.. when we asked... they bring us only chopsticks but without spoons n plates... -.- They were all so blur too... we kept asking for mosquito coil n chili... even the bill... they kept on 4getting it... til we have to go n get it ourselves...

While waiting for our food...

It took so so so long for the food to arrive... so while waiting... we camwhore a lil... :P

Lim lim lim...

Woke up pretty early for breakfast while waiting for Gab n Karen to come over... Not a good day for them... it was raining... but luckily the sea tide was low... so at least we still can swim in the sea.

Dearest

Kitty hid under our table

Din know there's a kitty hiding underneath our table until i finished my breakie... thank God I din step on it...

Camwhore b4 we go down into the water... :P

Our main purpose is actually sunbathing... but too bad... they day was cloudy yesterday and it was rainy 2day... sob sob sob... Tanning program FAILED! Nx attempt... When???

Dearie & I

Beach Girl

Shoot... I just remembered I 4got to return the poolside towel. Left it in to hotel room... hope they don charged it into my credit card which I've verified earlier... :S

After we had checked out... we went "kepo-ing" at Damai Puri. However, we were allow to gotto to the lobby only. Not much renovation were made... from the lobby... the different I see was the pool and the lobby itself. Oh... and the former gym has been transformed into a restaurant.

Very quiet compare to Damai Beach. I don see anybody swimming at the beach.. how sad...

Dearest & I

Karen & I at Damai Puri

Me... looking tired? :P

We belong 2gether...

Last but not least... Happy Birthday Darling... Hope u did enjoy and relax urself this weekend... Muaks...

Well... I did... it's nice spending the whole weekend with him... It's not easy for us to go on vacation as often as we want due to his job... not even public holiday... So... as long as we go chance... we will fully utilize it! :P

Sze Hong's Birthday at Mitsu

Went to Mitsu Shabu-shabu in conjuction of our dear senior, Sze Hong's Bday. Finally another new Shabu-shabu after Ichiro Shabu-shabu (used to be at Jln Song) which has been closed down several years ago.

Mitsu Shabu-shabu

It's our first time at Mitsu (except for Eve)... not bad afterall... Located behind Atmosfera, at the new shoplot opposite the Spring... the interior is rather simple... just like normal air-conditioner kopitiam... service was averagely good...

Looking tru the menu...

Why both of them look so shy huh??? hmm...

Price are reasonable but choice were quite limited. It's either u order Shabu-shabu set... or u can choose watever meat o vege u like. And if u don like shabu-shabu... they serve ala-carte dishes too... Chicken soup for Shabu-shabu base is FOC unless u wanna order Tom Yam Soup, then they will charge u for that.

Here comes our food! Yummy!

We ordered two sets of beef, lamb shoulder, ostrich meat, chicken, beef sausages... needle mushroom, vermicelli, some veges... and chicken noodle (Keh Si Mee). The chicken noodle taste more like spaghetti carbonara to me rather than asian cuisine. hahaha...Total spending include drinks for 5 pax... RM113. Quite reasonable ey? :P

The sauce...

It tasted very unique but nice... sweet... sour... and a lil spicy...

Enjoying their food

Sze Hong's Pressie

Ok... I know this pressie look's like some threatening letter... I actually spoiled the envelope of the bday card... So i'll just have to figure out some way to cover my mistake. :P

Anyway, we gave Sze Hong a collar tee from Seed... hope it fits him right...

After Shabu-shabu, we went chilling at Tao... And found tao is no longer a cafe anymore.. but it's more to a Bistro now... They serve alcohol and food now...

Future Predictions - Believe it or NOT!

Received a forwarded email from Slenzy yesterday regarding Future Predictions by a Brazilian Man who is sed that his predictions are quite accurate...

Mr. Juseleeno, born in 1960 (reportedly still alive in 2008), is a Brazilian who has made many predictions, and MOST have come to pass, including Princess Diana's death by car accident (which is instigated by someone near her and will probably unfortunately be written off as a car accident), 911 and the 2004 Indonesian tsunami. He sees the future in his dreams, and has an average of 3 to 9 such predictions per day. When he wakes up, he will write them down, and send warnings to those concerned. If it concerns only a normal individual, he will write a letter to warn him/her. If it is a famous person (celebrity, politician etc.), or matters concerning the public, he will not only send it to the individual himself/herself, but also related agencies, government, and media. He urged the media to publicize these predictions, but the reply always went along the lines of rejection for fear of arousing public panic.

Future predictions:
  • July 2008: There will be an earthquake in Japan, which will cause a tsunami of 30 plus metres high to occur as well.
  • September 18, 2008: An earthquake with magnitude of approximately 9.1 will rock China , simultaneously causing a tsunami of more than 30 meters to occur, resulting in the deaths of more than 1 million people. Although this huge earthquake will happen after the Olympics have ended, there will be a series of relatively smaller earthquakes occurring in China before the huge earthquake. The China government, which is more concerned with the success of the Olympics, will most likely neglect to employ appropriate cautionary measures, thus the high casualty rate. If the China government does not publicize the occurrence of these minor earthquakes and evacuate people, the number of deaths will be as predicted.
  • December 17, 2008: Terrorist attack in America
  • 2010: The temperatures in some countries of Africa could be as high as 58 degrees Celsius, and there will be a serious shortage of water.
  • June 15, 2010: The New York Stock Exchange market will fail, causing an international financial crisis.
  • 2011: The research on the treatment of some cancers will be completed, but a new life-threatening virus will appear. People who are infected will die after only approx. 4 hours of coming into contact with the virus.
  • November 25, 2013: Research on treatment of cancers, except for brain tumors, will be completed. An earthquake, caused by volcanic eruptions, will happen on Bahama Island of the Canary Islands. A gigantic tsunami of roughly 150 metres will result. America mainlands, Brazil etc. will be affected, with the tsunami pushing into the land as far as 15 to 20 kilometres. Before the occurrence of this gigantic tsunami, the sea/ocean water levels will sink by about 6 meters, and large flocks of birds will start to migrate.
  • 2014: A small planet that has been gradually closing in on Earth might eventually collide with Earth, and this collision, if come to pass, will affect the survival of humans as a whole.
  • 2015: By the mid of November, the average temperature of Earth could be as high as 59 degrees Celsius. Many people will die from the overheat, and international confusion and terror ensues.
  • April 2016: A huge typhoon will invade China, causing massive damage. The 43rd USA president, George Walker Bush, will enter the hospital, and faces a life or death situation.
  • July 2026: A super earthquake will occur in Sans Francisco, and it will be named "The Big One". Huge damage to surrounding areas. Many volcanoes will re-activate, and the height of resulting tsunami will be more than 150 meters.
Mr. Juseleeno made known his predictions in hopes that people will take heed of his warnings, so that these disasters may be avoided. He hopes there will be a major change in the thinking of people's mindsets in the time period 2007 to 2008. One factor will be the environmental issue of global warming, which is more serious than what some meteorologists assume.
