The Answer is YES!

Early in the morning... My darling came in with a very nice purple (our colour) paper bag... Present it to me in front of everybody... I was delighted!

It comes with a cute teddy bear card... and a lovely message...

When I opened the lil purple box... inside... is the exact ring that I wanted to buy the other day!

Precious Ring

It's a Clear Quartz rings with silver and white gold plated setting...

According to the leaflet there... I (born in the year of RAT) shud be wearing clear quartz this year for good luck.... Wat a coincident....

This is the first time some one ever present me a Ring... other than my mum of coz...

This is so SWEET!

Written in the card... was a very short but meaningful and sweet message....

I'm TOUCHED dear!

Yes, I do!

I LOVE YOU DARLING!

St. Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's All...

Especially to my Dearie and Darlings...

You know who u are....

Muah!

Valentine's for lovers and for friends.
All my love goes out to you this day!
Love is something different from desire:

Even, silent, peaceful as the sky.
Nor is love interested in means or ends.

There are no selfish needs that it must weigh.

Instead, love's plenitude itself inspires,
Needing neither cause nor reason why.

Each day my thoughts enchanted with you lie.

Sawadeekha from Bangkok, Thailand - Day 3

So... today we'll be hanging out at my favourite spot in Bangkok doing my favourite stuff... Shopping in Chatuchak Weekend Market! Woohoo...

Continued shopping spree from previous nite... We din get anything from the nite before... plainly for market price survey only... This day... we'll be starting our shopping madness in Chatuchak.

We went there using BTS Sky Train since there's a station nearby. Ratchathewi Station is only 5-10 minutes walk from our hotel. Din know how much it costs using cab but I'm pretty sure we'll get caught in the jam. So.. might as well use the cost-effective and faster way. It cost us only 15B per person per way to get to Chatuchak! Cheap isnt it?

Here we are.. Ratchathewi Station

Missed one ride. A train just left once we arrived. But it's OK... There's owas another train in every few minutes. Din have to wait long.

Waited patiently

Excited!

Here comes the train. Yippy!

Chatuchak Weekend Market

We had arrived to destination! Hurray!!! Ok... that big butt was mine. I wore the wrong pants. Shudn't have wear white. My shorts turn grey after tat... The whole Bangkok was too dusty afterall.

Nice Cafe in Chatuchak Market

I'll keep it short tis time. Wont tok much bout Chatuchak Market as I did review bout it in my previous Bangkok Visit's post.

Beautiful Lightings

Tattoo Guns

Very nice of the tattoo artist to allow me to take pic of their tattoo guns. Most of them have sticker written "No Photo Allowed". These pics are taken specially for Johnson. :P

Sausages

So it's past lunch time. We just realized it when we see food stalls. We weren't even hungry yet. Was too excited with the shopping. We took our lunch for the sake of stuffing sth inside our tummy just in case someone gets gastric. :P

I actually wanted to try those finger food but Les sed he need something Solid. So there goes the Roast Duck Rice.

Roast Duck Rice

Din know what and how to order since we don understand Thais ... We only ordered those with pictures and English description. Well... the Roast Duck Rice is not as nice as it sounds. I don really like it and din fnish it... no apetite to eat... probably my heart was still wondering inside Chatuchak Market... searching for more goodies. :P

Guess what are these?

Ok... enuf bout food... There arent food... I know they look yummy bout they are candles! Hehehe... Very nice indeed... Look very real, especially the dim sum.

Creative Lady

This is why I love Chatuchak. U can find all sort of unique goodies under one roof! Tis lovely lady here is selling her art by painting them on the shoes.

Cool shoes

There are very nice and inexpensive. If I'm not mistaken, it's ard 300B. Too bad I din have extra money for it. Else I will get one for myself too...

Me n Les were actually ady broke. And it's only the third day! We still got three more days to go. Darn! Spent too much money on unnecessary goods like t-shirt (at least 10 for myself... and some more for me frns, family, and of coz... my dearie), accessories, voodoo dolls, hair clips, etc...

Hair Clips

Got these hair clips for only 10B each. I think I saw them selling here for like RM9.90 each. Man they're really earning a lot! I got 10 of them. Gave them to my darlings.

Big Red, Thick Lips

John asked me to get the biggest voodoo that I can carry back for him. It only cost ard 200B. How I wish I could get one for myself too but I ran out of cash tat time. Damn!!! And also I cant carry two back at the same time. Sigh...

Mini VooDo0s

But I got myself these mini voodoos. Arent they cute? Those are my personal collection. Of coz... some are souvenirs for close budds. Those who knows me well know I'll definitely get them voodoos as souvenirs. I spent around RM100 on voodoo itself. :P

Mirror Stickers

I din know why I get this and whom I was gonna give it to... I got it coz they're cheap! 3 for 100B only! Urban Living here is selling ard RM10+ each!!!!

After Chatuchak... we went back to hotel. Took a lil rest... Bathed... then pay a visit to Erawan Shrine before we had our dinner at Shabushi! Again.. we took Sky Train. It's so convenient!

Taiwan or Thai Sausages???

On the way to Ratchathewi Station, we saw lotsa diff sausage stalls. We chose this coz it looks like Taiwan Sausages and I assumed it tastes the same too... BUT.... It was AWFUL!!!! It tastes WEIRD!!! And It's SMELLY! I wonder what it's made of... they must be mixing all pig interior inside. (P/s: I don take animals' part other than their meat ONLY!).

Les and I took one piece each and throw it out directly. Yucks! :S

Shrine nx to Shabushi

Amarin Plaza

My Favourite Drink

Beautiful Water Fountain

Flower Garlands for the Four Faces Buddha

Passed by vendors selling garlands and wooden elephants for a glimpse of the glittering open-air pavilion where worshipers gather before the shrine, often barely visible beneath the offerings made.

Erawan Shrine

It's one of the most visited place in Bangkok. Since it was Lesley 1st time to Bangkok... I brought him to see this beautiful Erawan Shrine.

Even though the day was already dark, this place is always crowded with worshippers (either locals of foreigners) and Thai Dancers.
It was worth spending some time to observe and enjoy this most important part of Thai culture.

Elephant Statues

Thai Dancers

Often, if a wish has been granted, people thank the spirits by donating teak elephants or commissioning the classical Thai dancers and live orchestra.

Gorgeous, isnt it?

Lighting the joss sticks

I did not make any prayers to the Buddha this time as I've ady forgotten how to do it. Afraid that I might did it the wrong way. There's a way that u must follow.

I have no idea wat this is... :P

Went for dinner at Shabushi after that... There were so many ppl queuing up for the buffet... Les and I regretted that we did not take a number 1st before we visited the Erawan Shirne. By the time we're done, it might be our turn ady. We waited for about 15-20 minutes for our turn. Some of them has ady give up waiting and left... Thank GOD. Else we might need to wait longer. :S I think we might just settled our dinner at McD which is just nx door... :P

Shabushi

Shabushi... plaz which offers u all-you-can-eat shabu-bu and sushi buffet for a very low price which u can hardly find in Malaysia...

Inside Shabushi

Our bill...

Since price petrol increased tremendously... everything else also increased. The last time I was here was only 199B per pax. Now it's 219B per pax. Price stated exclude tax.

My Sushi

Tom Yam Soup

Two type of soup for u to choose from. Chicken and Tom Yam. Since we're in Thailand, of coz... I chose Tom yam!

Caught in the act

Seems like Les really enjoy his food... mum mum mum...

Dessert after meal

After dinner, we took a cab (which cost us only around 40B) from Central World to Suam Lum Nite Bazaar (also known as Lumpini Market by the locals). It opens daily from 6pm-12am.

Christmas?

Christmas decors all around Bangkok is still on even though it was already January. Issit because of the Winter season in Bangkok?? Christmas and New Year sales was still on too!

Suan Lum Night Bazaar

We reached there quite late. Most stores were already closed. Some in the midst of closing.

Saw a manicure/pedicure store. Wanted to pamper myself for once since it's so cheap... Only 100B for 10 fingers!! With design some more! And only took 15 minutes to get it all done. But there were too many ppl queuing up for their turn to groom their fingers. If it wasnt becoz she was closing (it was almost midnite ady)... I'll definitely wait to get mine done. piff...

Stores inside Suan Lum

We din really buy much things there... Went there to look-see look see only since most of the things there are more o less the same with Chatuchak Market. Just that it's easier to and price are slightly higher.

I bought a hand-made leather watch for only 250B. Two creative youngster fluet in English, selling lotsa hand-made goodies made by themselves, on-the-spot with reasonable price. U can choose from watch, belt, necklace, wristlet, etc... anything that can be made with leather.

I also custom-made a tee with my name in Thai alphabets. It cost me 270B only.

Personal Favourite

Bigger VooDo0s

Thousand of VooDo0s

I cannot buy more voodoos anymore... Need cash for some other stuff... So sad... All I can do was just captured them in photos... sob sob sob...

Took a cab back to the hotel. Grabbed a cab from the taxi stand... but he din wanna use meter... he was giving some excuses which i don clearly understand his English (I think he was saying sth like extra charges for late nite ride). He charged us 100B for the ride and our hotel is so much nearer to Suan Lum compared to the distance fro Central Word. Damn!

Back to the hotel. Went to the cybercafe to check on some emails...

Cybercafe in our hotel

60B per hour to get access to the internet. Les and I both shared one hour coz it was already late... We din wanna waste so much time n money on these... Get online just to check some mails and our phone bills and ATM transaction. :P

Met Miss E online.. chatted a lil while.. complaining bout how broke we were... :P

Took these pics while waiting for my turn to go online... :P

Watch I bought from Suan Lum

Then... off to bed since it was already 3am... tiring day... lotsa walking... but everything is worth it! More fun and excitement coming... Wait and see guys! Do come back for more updates. And I'll try my very best to get them done asap!

Peace! ^^
